Chocolate and Dried Fruit Brownies

I know there are plenty of brownie recipes around, because in the search for the perfect example I think I’ve tried most of them. These meet the chewy criterion head on, and are dense with chocolate flavour, but the addition of the raisins, sultanas and candied peel makes these, for me, transcend the best.
