Here are nutty, chewy American brownies, just as they like them in Virginia. You can replace the hazelnuts with walnuts, almonds, pecans or a mixture. Very little flour and lots of sugar makes them gorgeously chewy and fudgy.


  • 75 g bitter chocolate, broken into pieces
