Although Muesli originated in Switzerland, America invented the crunchy sort. You can make the most delicious kind at home and vary the ingredients each time you make a new batch – there is such a wide variety of dried fruit and nuts available now. My children eat it like a sweet, by the handful, and I find it hard to pass the large glass jar that I store it in without a nibble. Serve it with milk as you would any breakfast cereal.
