I love peanut butter cookies of all kinds—especially when they have chocolate icing on them. Sometimes I vary these by using chunky peanut butter, or by adding a handful of chopped honey-roasted peanuts to the dough. They are great unfrosted, but adding the chocolate icing and the chopped peanuts really makes them extraordinary.

Peanut Butter Dough

  • 12 tablespoons ( sticks) unsalted butter, softened
