This is one of my favorite combinations of fruit and nuts—they seem perfect together. For the best banana flavor make sure you use really ripe bananas—ones whose skins are flecked with brown. If you substitute peanuts for the walnuts you’ll echo the flavors of Elvis Presley’s favorite sandwich.
