This is a recipe that my friend Kyra Effren brought back from a visit to Australia. Kyra says they are everywhere Down Under, made with all different types of nuts. To be successful, these must be very thin, so get out your sharpest serrated knife. And like the Australians, use any type of nut you like.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon

  1. Set a rack in the middle level of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees.
  2. In a bowl combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir well to mix, then stir in the almonds.
