Make ½ recipe Cinnamon Leaf basic dough. Shape into small balls (about 1½ ″) and place on greased baking sheets; let rise. Brush with melted butter or regular margarine. Make deep hole in center of each with thumb; then press out with forefinger to make the hole larger. Fill them with a fruit filling (recipe follows). Bake in moderate oven (375°) about 15 minutes. To give a special occasion touch to the Kolaches, sprinkle a fine dusting of confectioners sugar over tops before serving.
