Ingredients

2 (9″) baked chocolate-cake layers
2 tblsp. butter or regular margarine

Method

Place one chocolate-cake layer on baking sheet.
Melt butter, stir in brown sugar and cream and add cherries. Spread mixture on cake layer, spreading out to edges all around.
Place cake in broiler 6" to 8" from heat and broil until bubbly all over and golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes. Use this for the top layer of cake.
