Out of all the marine bivalves, my favorite is the clam. Back in Malaysia, in my hometown of Penang, there are many beaches with an abundant supply of clams. During my most recent visit, my family and I chartered a boat to an offshore island where local fishermen congregate for their daily catch. In no time, we filled our buckets with heaps of clams.
