Short-Cut Pastry for Fruit Pies

You skip the rolling pin—mix pastry in pie pan. Use this for fruit pies

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • tsp.

Method

  • Combine flour, sugar and salt; sift into an 8" or 9" pie pan.
  • Whip oil and milk together with a fork and pour over flour mixture.
  • Mix with fork until all flour is moistened. Save out about one third of dough to top pie.
  • Press remaining dough evenly in pie pan, covering bottom and sides. Crimp the edges. Add the fruit filling. Crumble reserved
