Ingredients

  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp.

Method

  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl. Cut in shortening with knives, or blend with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Add peanuts.
  • Sprinkle cold water over mixture, a little at a time, stirring with fork until dough is just moist enough to hold together and form a ball.
  • Roll out on lightly floured surface to a circle
