Ingredients

  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • ½ c. butter (room temperature)
  • Grated peel of ½

Method

  • Combine flour, butter, lemon peel and salt in medium bowl. Blend in sugar.
  • Add egg yolk and just enough water to make particles adhere. Shape into ball, wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate 1 hour or longer.
  • Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface and fit into a 9" pie pan, making pie shell. Chill at least 15 minutes.
