  • c. sifted flour
  • ¼ tsp. baking powder
  • ½

Method

Pastry

Sift flour and baking powder into bowl; blend in butter until mixture is smooth.

  • Beat egg until frothy; gradually add sugar and salt, beating until egg thickens. Add to flour mixture, stirring until smooth.
  • Turn dough into greased 9" pie pan and press evenly over sides and bottom of pan, but do not make rim.
