Prunes have exciting fresh plumlike taste in this cheese-crumb pie shell

Ingredients

  • c. flour
  • ¾ c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • ½ tsp.

Method

  • Combine flour, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl. With pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter and cheese until particles are fine. Press two thirds of the crumb mixture over bottom and sides of 8" pie pan to form a shell. Fill with prunes. Spread remaining crumbs over prunes.
