Method

  • Soften gelatin in water.
  • Beat egg yolks; add 2 tblsp. sugar, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, applesauce and milk. Cook over hot water until mixture thickens, about 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, add gelatin and stir until it dissolves. Cool. Add lemon juice.
