Glamorizes vanilla cream pies


  • 2 tblsp. water
  • 3 tblsp. fruit flavor gelatin (strawberry, raspberry or cherry)
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 2 tblsp. sugar
  • tsp. salt
  • 1 (2 or 2¼ oz.) pkg. dessert top ping mlx


  • Add water to gelatin; dissolve over hot water.
  • Have cream cheese at room temperature; stir smooth in small bowl. Add sugar and salt. Add dissolved gelatin gradually, stirring to blend evenly with cheese.
  • Prepare dessert topping mix according to package directions. Fold cheese mixture into whipped topping.
  • Spread on top of cooled vanilla cream filling in 8" or 9" pie shell.
  • Refrigerate several hours before serving. For smooth cutting, use warm knife.


  • Use ½ c. fruit jam instead of gelatin and water.
