Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. round steak, cut in 1" cubes
  • 2 tblsp. hot fat
  • 1 c. chopped

Method

  • Brown steak cubes in fat. Add onion and cook until soft. Add salt and pepper, Worcestershire sauce, parsley and boiling water. Cover and simmer slowly 30 minutes.
  • Add carrots and celery; continue simmering 45 minutes.
  • Blend together flour and ¼ c. cold water. Stir into meat mixture and continue stirring until mixture returns to a boil.
