Ingredients

  • 3–4 lb. chuck roast
  • 2 cups carrots, chopped
  • 6 cups

Method

  1. Place roast, carrots, and 4 cups juice in slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on Low 8–10 hours.
  3. Remove roast. Place on platter and cover with foil to keep warm.
  4. Meanwhile, add barley to slow cooker. Stir well. Turn heat to High and cook 45 minutes to 1 hou
