  • 1 lb. dry garbanzo beans
  • 4 ozs. raw baby carrots, cut in halves

Method

  1. Soak beans overnight. Drain. Place in bottom of slow cooker.
  2. Add carrots, onion, celery, and green pepper.
  3. Sprinkle with basil, oregano, rosemary, and thyme.
  4. Cover with broth and water.
  5. Cover. Cook on High 6 hours.
  6. Half an hour before serving, stir in tomato sauce, hummus, and salt. Cook until hot.
