Ingredients

  • ½ lb. dry barley
  • 1 small soup chicken, cut up
  • fresh celery, as desired
  • pars

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover with water.
  2. Cover. Cook on Low 4–6 hours.
  3. Remove chicken from bones. Discard skin. Return chicken to soup. Continue cooking until barley is soft.
