Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • ½ cup dry wild rice
  • 6 cups

Method

  1. Melt butter in small skillet. Add rice and sauté for 10 minutes over low heat. Transfer to slow cooker.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients except chicken and almonds.
  3. Cover. Cook on Low 4–6 hours. One hour before serving stir in chicken.
  4. Top with browned slivered almonds just before serving.
