Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 6 cups low-fat, reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 lb. fresh green beans, cut in 1-inch pieces
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3 cups fresh, diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.
  2. Cover. Cook on Low 6–8 hours.
