Tender Texas-Style Steaks

  • steaks or chops
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • few dashes of Worcestershire sauce

Ideal Slow Cooker Size: 3-Quart


  1. Lay steaks in bottom of slow cooker.
  2. Combine sugar and ketchup. Pour over steaks.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Cover. Cook on High 3 hours then on Low 3 hours.
  5. Serve with wide egg noodles, green beans, and applesauce. Spoon some of the juice from the cooker over the noodles. Thicken the juice if you like with a little flour.
