Ingredients

  • 3–4-lb. boneless beef chuck roast
  • 3 Tbsp. fresh basil, or
  • 1 Tbsp. dried basil
  • 3 Tbsp. fresh oregano, or 1 Tbsp. dried oregano
  • cups water
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 10–12 Italian rolls

Ideal Slow Cooker Size: 4-Quart

Method

  1. Place roast in slow cooker.
  2. Combine basil, oregano, and water. Pour over roast.
  3. Sprinkle with onion soup mix.
  4. Cover. Cook on Low 7–8 hours. Shred meat with fork.
  5. Serve on Italian rolls.
