Beef-Vegetable Casserole

  • 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • ½ cup chopped celery
  • 4 cups chopped cabbage
  • cups canned stewed tomatoes, slightly mashed
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • ¼–½ tsp. black pepper, according to your taste preference

Ideal Slow Cooker Size: 5-Quart


  1. Sauté meat, onion, and celery in nonstick skillet until meat is browned.
  2. Pour into slow cooker.
  3. Top with layers of cabbage, tomatoes, flour, salt, sugar, and pepper.
  4. Cover. Cook on High 4–5 hours.
