Cedric’s Casserole

Cooking Time: 3–4 Hours


  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • ½–¾ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 10¾-oz. can tomato soup

Ideal Slow Cooker Size: 3-Quart


  1. Sauté onion in skillet in butter.
  2. Add ground beef and brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Layer half of cabbage in slow cooker, followed by half of meat mixture. Repeat layers.
  4. Pour soup over top.
  5. Cover. Cook on Low 3–4 hours.
  6. Serve with garlic bread and canned fruit.
