A-Touch-of-Italy Meat Loaf

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 cups soft bread crumbs
  • ½ cup spaghetti sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tbsp. dried onion
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • ½ tsp. dried Italian herbs
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp. spaghetti sauce

Ideal Slow Cooker Size: 4–5-Quart

Method

  1. Fold a 30-inch-long piece of foil in half lengthwise. Place in bottom of slow cooker with both ends hanging over the edge of cooker. Grease foil.
  2. Combine beef, bread crumbs, ½ cup spaghetti sauce, egg, onion, and seasonings. Shape into loaf. Place on top of foil in slow cooker. Spread 2 Tbsp. spaghetti sauce over top.
  3. Cover. Cook on High 2½–3 hours, or on Low 5–6 hours.
