  • 10 cups water
  • 4 cups dried lentils, rinsed
  • 2 cups

Method

  1. Combine ingredients in large slow cooker.
  2. Cover. Cook on High 8 hours, then on Low 2 hours. Add 2 more cups water, if needed, to allow rice to cook and to prevent dish from drying out.
  3. This is traditionally eaten with a salad with an oil-and-vinegar dressing
