Ingredients

  • cups wild rice, uncooked
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 14-oz.

Method

  1. Spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Rinse rice and drain well.
  3. Combine rice, onion, chicken broth, and water in slow cooker. Mix well.
  4. Cover and cook on High 3–4 hours.
  5. Add mushrooms and thyme and stir gently.
  6. Cover and cook on Low 30–60 minutes longer, or until wild rice pops and is tender.
