Wild nettle and watercress are full of vitamins A and C, iron and magnesium, so they’re really good for us. The best time of year to collect them is April to May. Both are what we call superfoods. It’s a shame wild nettle is so underused now; it was very popular in the past, and no wonder, as it’s so full of goodness. Be sure to collect it when it’s young and before it has flowered because it gives its goodness to the flowers rather than to us! Beware of their sting when picking them – but
