Preparation
- Bring 2 qt (2 L) water to the boil.
- Remove any tough or discolored outer leaves of the cabbage.
- Quarter the cabbage lengthwise and cut out the core.
- Cut the cabbage across the grain into very fine shreds.
- Place the cabbage in a colander and pour the boiling water
