  1. Place an ice cube tray in the freezer until very cold.
  2. Place the consommé in a bowl in the freezer. Stir the consommé at 10-minute intervals until it has frozen to a slushy consistency.
  3. Mix the chives with the slushy consommé and then immediately pack the consommé into the ice cube
