Sage and garlic are happy bedfellows that elevate simple vegetables into something really warm, comforting and special. Swede and sweet potato mash is a great accompaniment to any number of dishes and makes a change from the usual carbs.
Place the swede in a large saucepan, cover with water by a few inches and season generously with salt (at least 2 teaspoons). Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and cook for 5 minutes.
