Feijoada is the pot-au-eu of Brazil. It is a rich orchestration of meats, vegetables, fruits, and spices in hot and cold, crisp and soft counterpoint. This recipe comprises only two elements of it, but you can put a little more Latin spin on the meal by serving it with rice and a salad of fresh orange slices and raw onion rings. The onion rings have less lethal fumes if soaked for an hour in ice water.
