Ingredients

  • ¾ pint oyster liquor
  • 1 quart oysters
  • ¾ pint

Method

Strain oyster liquor (approximately ¾ pint) into a large saucepan. Wash oysters thoroughly and add to liquor. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Add milk, and heat thoroughly, but do not allow it to boil. Stir in butter and cream; add salt and pepper, to taste, and a dash of cayenne pepper.
