Shortcake Mixture

  • ½ pound flour
  • 3 level teaspoons baking powder
  • ½

Method

Sift flour with baking powder, salt and sugar. Work in softened butter with a fork. Add milk and eggs little by little, stirring continuously, until mixture holds together but is still soft.

Turn out on to a floured board. Roll out or pat into 4 rounds; place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minute
