  • cups (250 g) blackberries
  • 1 apple, peeled and diced
  • Heaping ¼ cup (60 g) packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
  • cups (250 g) granola
  • 4 tablespoons (55 g) butter, at room temperature, plus more for the baking dishes

Method

Prepare

Grease the cocottes or baking dishes with some butter.

Combine the blackberries and apple with the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

In another bowl, mix the granola with the butter.

Divide the blackberry-apple mixture among the cocottes and, if you want to bake them right away, sprinkle with the granola mixture. If you are preparing for the next day, keep the granola mixture separate, cover everything, and store the fruit-filled cocottes in the fridge until you are ready to bake.

Make

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

Spoon the granola mixture on top of the fruit in the cocottes. Bake for about 25 minutes, until the fruit is bubbling and the granola is nicely crunchy. Serve with some yogurt or crème anglaise.
