Ingredients

For the Tomato Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves<

Method

  1. Prepare the tomato sauce: Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until softened, about 4 minutes. Add the garlic and tomatoes, stir well and cook until the tomatoes start to break down, about 10 minutes. Add the tomato paste and water, season with salt and pepper and cook 5 minutes more.
