Meatballs have long been a staple of kosher cooking. I’ve grown tired of the oversweetened sweet-and-sour versions, but I still long for a thick and delicious sauce. Here, I add cinnamon and allspice to the sauce, which yields a warm, comforting flavor. I always form the meat mixture into teeny-tiny balls, for no reason other than kids love them that way.
