These meatballs are Italian style, but I don’t claim that they’re authentic. It’s my Jewish mother’s recipe with a few tweaks. That said, they are meatballs everyone loves, even my kids, who were pretty fussy eaters growing up. Since they wouldn’t eat anything with visible chunks of onion, I used to puree the sauce in the food processor for them. But now that my sons are grown men, they eat the meatballs chunks and all, spooned over pasta with a grating of Parmesan.
