We are not big bread-eaters in my family and as far back as I can remember we never really had sandwiches on picnics, but we did eat this. I also remember going to Wales on holiday and stopping for lunch en-route. A large plastic tub came out and this is what we ate. It is a fabulous, forkable, easy-to-eat mix of lovely things, and it makes a great starter or lunch dish. Thanks Mum for a recipe that will stay with me a lifetime!
