Marinated Grilled Aubergines

I love aubergines, and I ate the most delicious marinated aubergines one recent November in a small restaurant in a tiny back street in the middle of Rome. We went back to the same restaurant the following February and the same marinated aubergines were again part of the excellent antipasto served as a first course. This is how I reconstructed them.
