Sometimes what it takes to keep you going during a long workout or race isn’t more calories, but more comfort. If you’re an all-weather outdoor athlete, this substantial, drinkable broth is for you. Store in a thermos or insulated water bottle, and drink it to warm your belly midway through your workout.


  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon white miso
  • 1 to 2 ta


Whisk together the maple syrup and miso. Add the lime juice and ginger, if using. Add the hot water. Pour immediately into your thermos or water bottle.
