  • About

Here’s a popular during-the-week dessert. It’s healthy, refreshing, light, and easy to prepare. I’ve described the combinations I especially like either because of the color, the textural contrast, or the meld of flavors. For balance I try to mix acidic fruit with mellow ones. The fruits I dislike in salads are apples, grapefruit, and pears; I’d rather eat them whole. And, finally, you can make a fruit salad more festive by setting it on top of slices of pound cake.
