Here is a simple recipe for a basic deli mustard that would be perfect for hot dogs or knishes.

Ingredients

  • 85 g (3 oz/½ cup) yellow mustard seeds
  • 2

Method

Grind the mustard seeds into a fine powder in a coffee or spice grinder (or use bought mustard powder). Combine with the salt, turmeric and flour. Mix the honey and vinegar together. Combine with the dry mixture with a fork until smooth. If it seems a little thin, this is normal since the mustard will thicken on standing. Cover and leave out for a day at room temperature for the flavours to min
