Scrod Rarebit

While staying in Dedham, Massachusetts, I studied the local cookery book (Parish Potpourri, published by the St Paul’s Church Service League of Dedham) and was interested to find the following item, presented as an old family recipe from Mrs William J. Mixter Jr. It is a simple and excellent dish which we have found can be applied equally well to other members of the cod family. This is our adapted version.
