  • About

I like to think of this cake as part of my daily fruit portions, because apples are the main ingredient. Some berries can also be added to it, such as blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, or even cranberries.

Ingredients

  • 6 apples (any kind you like)
  • Grated zest of 1 lime or lemon
  • 1 teaspoon

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Peel and core the apples. Cut them in thin slices, put them in a bowl, and sprinkle them with lime or lemon zest. Add the cinnamon and 1 tablespoon sugar, and stir to combine.
  3. Put the apple slices in a greased 9-inc

This was super easy to make - especially if you have a magimix that will slice the apples for you. I’m not a fan of blueberries so I substituted these with frozen raspberries and the whole cake was delicious! It could be eaten warm as a dessert or cold as a cake with tea. Highly recommend!

Thank you Sophie. I'm glad you liked the cake. It's very good with raspberries and blackberries too.

This tangy bake is part cake and part pudding. Great warm or cold.

Yes! It's not only easy to make but versatile. Did you serve it with ice cream or whipped cream?
