This is such a simple dish, you can even construct it wearing an anorak before you head out for a long drizzly walk and it will beckon you home like a herbal, lemony, come-hither light on your doorstep.

Preheat the oven to 150°C/300°F/Gas 2 and grease a large ovenproof dish with half the butter.
