Vegetable broth is the foundation for soups, stews, and sauces! Think of broth as the first layer of flavor—it adds depth to any recipe. Making your own allows you to control the ingredients, not to mention save money! I don’t add any salt to my broth, preferring to add it as needed when cooking. This recipe is very forgiving. Add or take away any spice or veggie. There’s pretty much no way you can mess it up. I keep a few liters frozen in my freezer at all times. If you have the freezer space, it’s worth the effort!
