Grate the raw potatoes. Squeeze out some of their liquid and put them into a bowl. Mix at once with the flour and baking powder. Incorporate the egg yolks, butter or oil, milk and a little salt. Whip the egg whites stiffly, and fold into the mixture. Heat and grease the griddle (see dropscones).
